And I am mass/public transit stupid.
I want to go see one of my running buddies from WA who is living in DC now. I messaged her on FB yesterday and asked 'can we go to Georgetown Cupcake when I come see you?' and then posted back right away oh apparently I need to come see you before the end of May so that I can get the German Chocolate Fudge cupcake-it's one of their flavors of the month lol. I do not want to deal with driving and parking in DC- I drove part of the beltway 2 weeks ago on my way to the race in Frederick and that sucked bad enough lol. So I was like ok I'll find the nearest train station and just take the train in. Yeah ok. The first time I ever rode public transportation was last summer, in Seattle, during the Great Urban Race. And thankfully, I had a teammate, we had met up with another team(during our prolonged detour at Pyramid Ale House) and we managed to stalk down a transit worker who was kind enough to help us lol.
I grew up in small towns, or places that didn't have or need major public transportation. I'm good with it. However, I'm also willing to embrace it if it means I don't have to deal with crazy ass east coast drivers(you know who you are! If you're thinking that east coast drivers aren't that bad, then yes, I'm talking about YOU!). Thankfully, Nikki took pity on me and is going to figure it out all for me :-D
The things I do for a cupcake.
