My Left Foot
OK, not the movie, my actual left foot. I must have hurt it Sunday in the 1/2 marathon. It felt fine while I was running, but once I got home, it was pretty sore. I took Monday off, and went back to running on Tues and have run Tues, Wed and Thur this week. It was an off and on pain, and actually felt better once I would get into my run. I finally decided this morning that 4-5 days of it not getting completely better was enough so I headed to urgent care this morning. I explained every to dr, and he suspected either stress fracture or inflamed tendon. Xray came back clear so stress fracture is ruled out(for now). He's thinking it's a tendon problem. I'm on crutches with partial weight bearing for 10 days and no running. He said rest should take care of it, and if not to follow up with my primary dr and maybe looking at having bone scan which would be more apt to show if there was a stress fracture. So boo, hiss, no run for the tatas this weekend! Fingers crossed that I'll be able to make my run next weekend though. And I did check with the dr, I can still do elliptical to keep up cardio as there's no impact on my foot for that, but man oh man, 10 days and no running is gonna kill me!!
