Customer Service

I think everyone, at some point in their life, should be required to work in customer service. Most jobs where you deal with people have varying aspects of customer service. Being on that side of the counter so to speak has made me more understanding. Because of that, I was able to be a good customer today, I think. I left work to take Brice to his orthodontist appt. We showed up at 340 for his 345 appt only to be told that they had been trying to call people to cancel because people were sick with the stomach flu. I of course was not a recipient of such a call. The receptionist of course had to say 'oh I hope you didn't drive far'. I said no, I didn't, but I did take off work. She was like oh I'm sorry, let me see if we can still see him. Umm, no thank you-I'd rather not linger and expose myself and my child to the stomach flu germs that are making the staff sick enough to cancel appts. I tell her no, it's fine, it happens and reschedule the appt for next week and out the door we go. Having been the one who has had to call and cancel appts, I know that people aren't always pleasant, so I tried not to look too annoyed. So there's my good deed for the day-I did not go all Hell Bitch(what my mom was known as when she was in the Navy and whom I learned my Royal Bitch skills from...lol) on them.
