Well the birthday excitement has come and gone, and now I'm just another year older. Actually, I still feel great-birthday was good, as is being 33!
Bill made it home on Friday after 2+ months that seemed never ending, and of course an extra day on the trip home which is the norm...lol. Just him being home was all I could ask for:) But who doesn't love presents and everyone making a fuss over them??? I certainly won't turn it down! Bill surprised me with two new purses(each with a matching wallet!)-definitely not something he would have bought me a couple of years ago!
I have a wonderful group of friends who love me and know me and spoil me!
Joanne made me a wonderful homemade German Chocolate Cake-that I have pawned pieces off on several other friends as Bill and Brice don't like coconut. I could definitely eat the whole thing myself, but do not need to-I'd need to run a lot more...lol. She also gave me a gift card for shoes:)
From Angie I got a nice pink box that can be reused in my room, and filled with goodies. A little bunny that I forgot to take to work for my desk...you pull his tail out and he scuttles across the desk. Also a picture frame for my room-white with black polka dots that will match nicely. And since she got me a jewelry armoire for Christmas, she feels it's her duty to help fill it:) So I got new pairs of earrings-one in my birthstone of aquamarine that is one of my favorite styles; and the other is pink and white stones.
Charlotte the Amazing gave me an IOU for when New Moon comes out. I took her to see the first Harry Potter movie on her birthday when it came out, so she says she'll take me to see New Moon-of course I'll be forgotten the minute Rob comes on the screen and she's distracted...lol. But that may work in my favor cause I can steal the popcorn and candy from her;)
Lizard Breath gave me two of my favorite things...movies and seafood! Gift cards to the movies and Red Lobster. I think she had an ulterior motive though as Bill won't be home long and I'll probably end up on a date with her for them...lol.
Pink and running were the themes of my presents from Rochelle! I got pink iced cupcakes! A pink Under Armour shirt and the pink leopard Dirty Girl gaiters I wanted!! She said the leopard reminded her of our Christmas shopping trip after we ran a race and stopped at Ross and were trying on leopard print dresses...lol(and I actually bought a leopard print dress hahaha). I am ready for a trail run now!!
Checked my mail on the way to work and had a card from my friend Nikki with a dog related bookmark in there. Nik loves her dogs the way I do, and like she said, one can never have too many book marks! I actually had a book with me that I was using a vet appt card as my bookmark, so I promptly swapped it out!
Is that the end? Nope, it continued once I got to work-I have 2 really great friends at work:) I think they're trying to make me super fat though-or at least force me to run more and more. They bought lunch-my pick...sushi! They bombarded me with snackies and sweets...cheesecake platter, a flat of Ben and Jerry's mini cups, cream puffs, candy! Ashleigh got me new Roxy flippy flops and a book from my Amazon wish list(I'm telling ya'll...fill them out!!) and 2 other funny little books-keep your eyes out for new little saying that I tag in places from them. Fred got me the other Dirty Girl gaiters I wanted...the pink camo ones!!
And then, once I got home from work, there was a package waiting from my daddy. He surprised me with some new Hooters stuff(beer koozies, tray, etc), and a menu from the Daytona Beach Hooters(yep, I've been to that one)-signed by some of the guys from OCC-Orange County Choppers! Also in there, as a nod to my other blog, was a silver spork...hahaha!
So definitely a great birthday all around! Thank you to those who helped make my day special:)
