Ahhhh Valentine's Day. Flowers. Candy. Romance. Declarations of Love. Sometimes I get stuff, sometimes I don't. But I am loved all the other days of the year too.
Love is letting me get a 3rd dog/2nd lab when it was probably the last thing we needed.
Love is flushing the line in my truck to make sure my heater works.
Love is always letting me have the newer vehicle to drive.
Love is going along with whatever decorating ideas I want for the house(cupcakes in the kitchen, B's on the front entry wall).
Love is letting me have a room entirely for my sewing-and helping me paint it pepto pink, and cutting all the chair rails for it, and installing the shelves in the closet for all my fabric.
Love is letting me gallivant about for races-even when it takes me away every weekend for a couple of months at a time.
Love is talking about me during his retirement speech.
Love is cooking Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner every year(happy to say I've never had my hand up a turkey's butt).
Love is still playing Ruzzle with me when I beat him almost every time.
Love is fighting and not always liking the other person-but still kissing them good night.
Love is sitting on the deck as the sun goes down and listening to country music.
Love is getting my name in katakana as a surprise, right over his heart.
Love is buying me pink knives(but GOOD knives too).
Love is screaming obscenties at each other as we play MarioKart.
Love is not caring that I picked him from deployments in pajamas because it was the middle of the night and it was like our 9-10th homecoming from det in less than 3 years(post 9/11, high optempo).
Love is reading Outlander and Twilight because I said they were good and he should read them.
Love is taking me to Forks, WA. And the Goonie house and beach.
Love is doing his fair share around the house-and sometimes more(love isn't always 50/50, sometimes it's 90/10, and he does the 90 at times).
Love is playing Rummy till the score is 2500-3000.
Love is wearing a RoadID cause I told him it was important to me.
Love is doing projects I find on Pinterest.
Love is smack talking during football season. But cheering together during hockey season.
Love is buying me a GPS so I can find my way easier to the aforementioned races.
Love is holding hands when you fall asleep after almost 20 years.
Love is getting up in the middle of the night or super early with the manchild or the pack of wild dogs.
Love is being ok with cereal for dinner if I don't feel like cooking, or forgot to get the chicken out.
Love is kissing me every morning before he leaves for work.
Love is a million other things that happen every day.
I am loved.
