Yep, I did it again. I rarely go to the gym anymore. I do all my running outside. Today, however, I had a hair appt immediately after work. With the time the sun goes down here in the lovely PAC NW, it's damn dark by 430. Rochelle and I ran in the dark once and decided we did not like that AT ALL. So we made plans to hit the gym later on. I packed my gym bag up and went about day, got my hair done(looks great-though all sweaty right now) and we went to the gym. I went to change and sure enough, I forgot my damn sports bra, again!! Ah well, suck it up and deal, right? I managed a mile on the treadmil before the bouncing did me in and I switched to the elliptical. Still a bit of bounce, but not as much and got 1.75 miles done. All the while, I was so annoyed at myself for forgetting it, again. It's probably a good thing I usually come home and change and then head out to run.
As a side note, I hate the gym now!!! I can't believe I started out on the treadmill and did it day after day for many months last winter. After having run for months outside now-since spring, it's so much more enjoyable. I totally understand the term 'dreadmill' now. It's hot in there(I was dripping sweat on the elliptical), there's no wind to keep me cool(remind me of that next time I lament about how windy my run was...lol), etc. Well, I reckon it does in a pinch though and it's better than no workout at all. And since I'm a slave to that damn Nike+ mini up there, I *had* to run something today so she wouldn't taunt me and call me a couch potato.

I am with you on this one, I too hate the treadmill, or as I call it "the highway to hell"
I never run on it though, I prefer running in the dark (which is actually very calm and relaxing)
Moosie...Please come to my blog and pick up your award. :)
We have lots in common! I love to run. Just ran my last 5K in record time (for me!). LOL Finished in 33 minutes. Hey, I said I love to run, not that I am good at it. :) And get this! I quilt! How cool is that?
