I got a lot accomplished this weekend! Of course, there was the 10K. After that, I got started on Christmas shopping. This morning, I was up dark and early(woke up at 0500 and got up with the dogs around 0530) as I'm still not quite adjusted to the time change; well that and the fact that my internal clock doesn't want to let me sleep late since I'm up at 0500 for work during the week. I got laundry started and went to the commissary this morning. Once the groceries were put away, I make a Caramel Apple Pie with a crumb topping-pretty good. I then worked on some quilt stuff for a while. After that, I decided since I've been commandeering the majority of the dining room table for some time now, that I'd move into the other bedroom. I rearranged to make make room for a table. In doing that, I also put together my other shoe rack and got all my shoes in there-that made more room as I still had shoe boxes stacked up(I'm embracing m Filipino roots and channeling Imelda). I got the satellite hooked up in there-very important to have something good to watch while one sews...lol. I went and got a table(though I think I'm going to get another one as it wasn't as big as I thought-my cutting mat takes up most of it...lol), and chair. Got the chair put together and everything pretty much situated. I have a clear view of the TV from my machine, and the futon is in close enough proximity that the dogs will be content to be near mommy(as they are now-I'm on the couch with my laptop and the wiener is curled up next to me with his nose stuck under my butt and into the cushions, and the big one is ensconced on the large ottoman like it's his throne). Heaven forbid mommy get too far away. Ahh well, anyway, that was my busy/productive weekend.
Next weekend should be a little more calm and quiet, thankfully!
As a side note, while doing laundry, I realized I go through a lot of socks in a week. Just the plain white, athletic types, there were TWELVE pairs in the laundry. Some days, I go through 3 different pairs. One in the morning when I go to work, one to run in(those are specific socks!) and then when I come home and shower after running, another pair if I have to go somewhere else. That's not counting the bright, colorful, super soft ones I wear around the house.
***2.5 hours later-I continued to clean after a delicious dinner made by my darling dearest...homemade beef stew with dumplings, yummm! I got my room cleaned up-cleaned out my closet and dresser and got rid of a few things. As well as pulling 'summer' stuff out to put in a bin(that I will buy tomorrow when I get the other table). I also decided to clean off part of the bookshelf and am purging some of my books-something I rarely do...lol. Just fun chick lit books I'll likely not read again, just makes more room for more books! Oh and final sock count for the week...16 pairs.
