TextBuyIt

I've become somewhat of a frequent online shopper in recent years. It's been convenient when I want to send gifts to those far away. It was especially nice when gas prices were higher and I tried to limit trips off the island. I love the ease of it. It however has reached a new level. There was an item I was looking at on Amazon for a Christmas present that was out of stock. I noticed an option off to the side to receive a text message to be notified when the option was in stock. Great, I thought! I use my cell phone alllll the time(just ask those that text me during the day hahaha), I have it linked to my Yahoo! calendar to be notified of appts and events coming up, it's linked to one of my messanger names so that Bill can IM me when he's deployed and if I'm not home near the puter, it'll redirect to my phone, etc. So I signed up for the notice. Upon being redirected to further pages once my text notification was confirmed, it gave me the option to register for TextBuyIt. This allowed my cell phone to be linked to my Amazon account, and once the notification was sent to my phone, I could reply to the text message 'buyit' and it was done. Sure enough, I finally got the notification that the item was available, hit reply and got an immediate confirmation that the item was mine!! Holy smokes!!! Logged on to Amazon and it was already linked in my account as an order. WOW!!
