Oh let's see, we still have snow on the ground-though it's very crunchy snow with lots of ice mixed in. I'll be very glad when I go home today! Supposed to go to Lizard Breath's Christmas party with her tonight-have to debate on what to wear since it's COLD(no red dress most likely), and icy(meaning no leopard high heels, boohoo).
With the nasty weather we've had, we've needed to cancel and reschedule appts for the past few days. The only calls we're doing are emergency no heat, no water calls. I had a lady call me early this morning(before 0700) asking about her appt later today for a light not working and could we be out any earlier. I told her no, due to weather and road conditions(the roads around town aren't horrible, but still people shouldn't be out unless they have to, and because of our location, our warehouse and office have several inches of compact snow and ice that was never able to be cleared) that we were rescheduling for next week. Her response...'oh no really??'. Um lady, have you been outside in the last three days??? For a freaking LIGHT??? We have people that don't have heat, but let us come out and fix your light. Oh, and don't even get me started on the lady who called in to the answering service after we left yesterday so I got the message on the cell phone to complain about the price of her light bulb.@@ And as a side note unrelated to lighting, how can these people make multimillion dollar aircraft fly but not know what a GFI reset outlet is??? I should stop now...I could have an entire blog just devoted to work stuff...lol.
I need to finish up my Christmas stuff, just a few small things; but still need to finish wrapping stuff. Lizard Breath and I are supposed to go shopping at the mall tomorrow. Hope the weather holds out ok, well, more so the roads.
Since I am anticipating today to be much like yesterday, I brought my laptop and movies today-Home Alone, Christmas Vacation, Serial Mom, Better Off Dead and I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. Plus, my oh so stellar work of fiction to read...How to Teach Filthy Rich Girls. Can you tell how bored I am...linking stupid crap...lol.
No running the past couple of days because of the weather and road conditions. Even if I managed to bundle up enough to brave the cold temps, I can see me laying flat on my back because I fell on the ice. And I'm sure Rochelle would let me lay there as payback(she had a dream where she hit the fire hydrant on our route and fell and I kept going and yelled at her to not be a baby and get up-I'm nice and compassionate that way, huh?)-not really, Rochelle is way nicer than I am...lol.
That's all folks(for now anyway...lol).
