Sat morning was nice and clear thankfully and Rochelle and I made our way down to Kent for the run. It was cold-for us anyway, high 20s/low 30s at race start. Thankfully no snow or rain. It was a nice, flat run, along the Green River. I had a PR! Knocked over a minute off my previous best 5K, so I'm trucking along toward that under 30 min goal(I just want 29:59...lol). I'm almost 10 minutes off my very first 5K last summer when I had just started running and losing weight. And I'm not entirely sure why, it was billed as a Christmas run, but the race shirt(nice long sleeve tech shirt) has a COW on it...lol. I guess he's festive since he has a wreath or holly around his neck...lol.
Sun morning, however is another story. We've got a few inches of snow on the ground and the roads(at least by my house) are still covered. Having been fortunate enough to grow up on a beautiful tropical island does have it's drawbacks though. I'm not an experienced driver in the snow. I am, however, a smart driver in the snow-I try not to do it unless absolutely neccesary. So because of that, Brice and I will not being drivnig back down to Kirkland for the 12Ks of Christmas:( But better safe than sorry, there's always next year.
Here are pictures from Sat's 5K.
Running along the Green River Trail-yes, THAT Green River.

grats on your run.
you might not have broke 30, but you are improving and inching closer and closer to it. Before you know it, you will be looking back at the days when you couldn't do it.
Best of luck on your future runs!
