Better Late than Never

Yep, another slacker day...missed Thursday...lol.

So my belated thankfulness for Thursday, Nov 18, is for all my online friends. The internet has opened up a whole new world in facilitating friendships. Years ago, we had AOL and I used to go into a military wives chat room. We spent many an hour in there, chatting away while our sailors, soldiers, marines or airman were deployed. It was an invaluable support system. There have also been a plethora of online forums that I have frequented over the years. AOL message boards, Yahoogroups(and for the old timers-egroups and onelist before that), and of course, now Facebook(among others through the years). Many of those friendships that began online made their way to IRL meet ups and friendships(Sandy, Toni, Tracy, Tina, Judy, just to name a few). Many of those friendships have also stood the test of time so to speak in the ever changing formats...the chat room friendships gave way to private group emails for example. The message boards morphed into FB friends. I am so very thankful for the fun and support that my 'imaginary' friends have provided through the years.
